Srinagar, Sep 28: The Department of Nursing Administration SK Institute Medical Sciences, Soura is holding a day long workshop on “Stoma Care” at the hospital auditorium on Thursday.
“The aim of the workshop is to provide awareness to public, patients, doctors and nurses about the disease”, the organizers said. According to them, the workshop will also inform participants about different aspects of Colostomy, Ileostomy, and Stoma Care Including pre and post Operative Care, Complications after Surgery and How to Deal with them?”
The organizers said there were more than 200 doctors and nurses who had registered with the workshop.
“The super specialists of SKIMS would deliver lectures and more than 50 Ostemates (patients) and their attendants will be given training about the Stoma Care”, they said.
The chief guest of the occasion will be director SKIMS and ex-officio secretary to government Professor Showkat Ali Zargar.
