Saudi Arabia Health Insurance basically throws light on a wide variety of insurance coverage available in the country. With the course of time Saudi Arabia is planning to expand the field of health insurance coverage for its dwellers. With the assistance of national fund these medical benefits are extending. It is assumed that the governmental financial aid is the main reason behind the growth of the Saudi Arabia Health Insurance sector.
It is also said that if a resident of Saudi Arabia follows the governmental health plan, he will be given medical service at public and private hospitals, free of cost. The new plans initiated by the government works toward the improvement of the medical care.
While speaking about the Saudi Arabia Health Insurance, the activities of the Cooperative Health Insurance Council, CHIC deserves mention. It has approved 14 companies to offer medical care service in Saudi Arabia. It is seen that these insurance companies have started to give health cards to 4 groups of customers. The first one, paying a premium of around SR2,500, the second group paying SR2,000, the third group paying SR1,000, whereas the company owners will be provided coverage of around SR1 million against the yearly premium of SR5,000.
