Conference: Call for abstracts: Food & Nutrition----From valid measurement to effective decision-making
International Scientific Symposium on Food & Nutrition Security Information: From valid measurement to effective decision-making
17-19 January 2012
FAO headquarters, Rome, Italy
Deadline for abstract submission: 9 September 2011
Ten years after the noteworthy International Scientific Symposium on measurement and assessment of food deprivation and nutrition, this Symposium will focus on moving from valid food and nutrition security measurement to more effective decision-making and will look at progress made and challenges ahead. This event is timely as it puts FAO at the centre of the international debate on food and nutrition security related measurement and provides an opportunity for FAO to highlight and build on other relevant initiatives ongoing in-house (e.g. the CFS sponsored meeting on measuring undernourishment, The Food Security Information Network).
